Marc a Big Hit at the Bob Pike Conference in Minneapolis

Marc Ratcliffe has returned from delivering two workshops at the annual Bob Pike Group Conference in Minneapolis. The first was a two-day “Workplace Assessment Workshop” customised for the American context and the second was a standing-room only presentation of his popular “26 Proven techniques to engage and enliven training”. The feedback for both workshops was outstanding and we look forward to proving additional US workshops in the near future.

Defence digs into Double Diploma

Stephen Murphy has just returned from Canberra after delivering the Double Diploma for the Department of Defence. The Double Diploma is made up of the Diploma of Vocational Education and Training and the Diploma of Training Design and Development. These courses are aimed at senior trainers and instructional designers and will produce well-rounded VET practitioners within Defence.

New Summit Speakers Announced

The MRWED Learning Leaders Summit is progressing in ernest and we are thrilled to announce two new key noters in Rich Meiss and Laurie Kelly. Rich has played a key role in the Human Resource Industry since 1972. He has personally trained over 50,000 trainers and leaders, conducting workshops, seminars and delivering keynote speeches in over 150 cities in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Even a Typhoon can’t stop MRWED International!

MRWED International is going so well that not even a Typhoon can stop us! MRWED Head of Learning, Phillip Jefford was in the Philippines this week’s as Typhoon Rammasun moved through the region. We are pleased to say that all is well and both the participants and trainer took the experience in their stride. We also welcomed Javier Amaro to the international team this week as he delivered our first Spanish language programs for El Limon and La Liberatad mines in Nicaragua.

Jason giving a bite sized Boot Camp for Agsafe Conference

MRWED Train-the-Trainer Boot Camp Specialist, Jason Ash has had a successful participation at the Agsafe Annual Conference in Canberra this week. He presented a “bite-size boot camp to a team of Agsafe trainers. Frances Cameron from Agsafe said that “Jason met the brief – to provide our trainers with useful techniques for revitalizing their own courses – perfectly.

Fun and Games at the End of Financial Year Function

Learning Leaders Summit Launched for 2013

MRWED are thrilled to launch the latest Learning Leaders Summit for 2013. The theme of “Create, Innovate and Play” embodies the role of the modern educator who wants practical, cutting-edge resources and techniques which they can adapt, adopt and apply to their own situations. Following the success of our Brisbane event, we are excited to be bringing the Learning Leaders Summit to Sydney on the 18th and 19th of March, 2013.

MRWED at International Conference in London

MRWED’s Stephen Murphy and Marc Ratcliffe were featured presenters at the 19th International Conference on Learning held at the London School of Education in July. This three-day event featured presenters from 45 countries and provided an opportunity to hear from industry experts from all levels of education. It also enabled delegates to participate in scholarly discussion aimed at growing the collective knowledge of our industry.
